I think all of us want to leave a mark on the world. But what kind of mark do we want to leave behind?
I found and photographed this graffiti at Big Rock Park near Allentown over a year ago. I think it is unfortunate to mark nature in this way, but there is also something very interesting about the graffiti itself and the notion of leaving your mark in the world. Big Rock Park has a lot of this, where over the years graffiti has been covered over by new marks made by others. It would be fascinating to see what is under all the layers of paint, or to see the original beauty of the rocks.
