Even though we are supposed to get a frost tonight, I am encouraged by what I see in the garden. My burgundy Columbine is blooming this year, Woodland Phlox, and my Lilac bushes are very promising. I made many additions to the garden last year but didn't see much for our labor until now. I think despite the beauty and compliments I've received on the Columbine, the Lilac is my favorite, the fragrance is amazing. It reminds me of when we were kids running around during picnics at my grandmother's house. Happy Spring!

Go Where You've Never Been
This quote really embodies the spirit of adventure for me, and in my opinion serves as a fantastic personal philosophy. That thing you've been waiting to do? That place you've always wanted to visit? Make it happen, your next adventure awaits.

My Garden + Photos Featured On Dearest Nature
Dearest Nature is an art and lifestyle site and blog that I love to visit. Inspired by nature, this site covers many subjects such as art, decor, design, photography and more. So when I received word that my new garden would be featured, I was thrilled!
The feature discusses the loss of my grandmother earlier this year and how I came to take up gardening. It also includes some new photographs I've taken in the garden, so you can see the progress we've made in growing vegetables for the first time. Donaville Herrick, of Dearest Nature, was a pleasure to correspond with, and she arranged my photographs beautifully! I am excited to be included in the Dearest Nature Garden Variety blog series, and I want to encourage everyone to head on over to the Dearest Nature site to check out the feature on our new garden. Since they did such a wonderful job with the article, if you can leave a comment to let them know how amazing the feature looks I would appreciate it!
