Even though it is snowing outside today, I'm thinking of the garden I want to plant this year. Now is the time when many gardeners start to indoor sow seeds, or they order the plants they want to sow after the frost.

I decided this year I would try something new and different. I'm going to plant lavender. I visited a lavender farm a few years ago and loved walking the fields and smelling the fragrance. If I am able to grow the lavender successfully, it will be a nice addition to my garden.

We typically plant cucumbers every year as well as peppers. This year I am looking to try something different and the lavender feels right to me. Has anyone successfully grown lavender in their garden? If so, I'd love to hear all about it in the comments below!
