Learning A New Skill - Pushing Past Maybe And Reaching For Now

I don't know about you, but I always think of a million things I'd like to try or learn how to do. I have even gone so far as to make notes about my ideas. Over time I've kept these notes in journals, in word documents, in phone apps, wherever! If I see or think of something and think "hey that looks awesome!" it goes on some kind of list or note to be documented. Occasionally if I'm feeling particularly adventurous I'll decide to go and try one of these things. It becomes a burning hole in my pocket and I'll randomly decide to make the leap. I've been doing this for as long as I can remember, even back in grade school! It has become a fascination for me to make sure that I try new things or attempt to reach for the adventures that I dream about. It keeps life from feeling dull!

These things have been anything from big to small like trying oysters, to taking a surfing lesson, attempting karaoke (I can't sing...), learning to off-road in my Jeep, and visiting another country. I think of it as my adventure list, aka "the things I want to try during my life" list. Many people have lists like these and what makes it so interesting is that everyone's list has similarities and then huge differences. Because I see this as a year of many changes, I'm going to work on a new revised list to begin 2012 with, and I'm hoping to share it here on the blog.

I'm also excited because I'm going to start shooting a new photography project that I plan on sharing here on the site, so check back to get a glimpse as I post new images later this week.

In the meantime, what are some of the adventures you'd like to have? I'd love to hear them...please share below!
