Embracing Change & Reaching For Who You Want to Be

Lately I've been brainstorming the types of creative projects I would like to work on and what goals I will be setting for myself for the remainder of this year and next year.  And I realized that brainstorming new ideas is such a crucial time for anyone, and you want to give yourself the time and space you need to digest your thoughts outside of external influence. It is important to dream, but even more importantly you should reach for your dreams. Even if it is a small step now and again, always move forward to what you hope to become---it is this determination that will help you to live a complete life.

There will always be people who doubt your abilities, your talents, and your ideas.  And they may tell you that what you dream or hope to be is not possible, but consider for a moment that if critics were always right, then no one would ever attempt anything.

Never stop being who you are, and never stop reaching for who you want to be. Making the tough choice to pursue your own path, to break out of conformity and work towards a career, goal, and life more suited to you can be intimidating.  However, when you work with who you are, and not against who you are, that is when everything starts to gel together.

“Far away there in the sunshine are my highest aspirations. I may not reach them but I can look up and see their beauty, believe in them and try to follow them.” -Louisa May Alcott

Whether you want to go on an adventure, are looking for the next step in your career, attempting to be healthier, or are trying to develop your own internal creativity---embracing a new change can be an opportunity to give that voice inside a time to shine.
