Doylestown Arts Festival 2009

I was a participating vendor in the Doylestown Arts Festival this year and it was such a great experience! Many very talented artists lined the streets of the beautiful center of Doylestown. The fair was cancelled on Saturday due to rain, but Sunday we had amazing weather and many people came out to enjoy the festivities.

As a last minute decision, Justin and I decided to bring our oldest dog Indy to help us man the tent. I think he really enjoyed meeting the other dogs, all of the extra attention, and the many bacon 'n' cheese bones we gave as rewards.

Many thanks to all of the friends and family who also came out to visit us and support my art---we are so lucky to have such great people in our lives!

Here are a few shots from the festival...

Indy and Justin take a break together in the shade of our tent.

Sammy comes to visit---everyone who walked past loved the dog portrait I photographed of him, and then he made a guest appearance!

Part of my display... I loved the idea of using beautiful smooth stones as decorative accents and also paperweights for items I wanted to display. I stole this idea from Emily---another great artist... check out her site Timeless Paper for unique and beautiful paper designs from someone with a great eye.

I'd say that the festival this year was a success, and I'm looking forward to more artist events in the future. I will continue to post and upate the site with any upcoming art show events that I will be participating in as a vendor.

On a side note, I am currently taking reservations for fall photography sessions. I still have a few available weekends, but they are booking up fast. Fall portrait sessions are a fantastic way to get the beautiful shots you need for the holidays as gifts or holiday greeting cards.

Since it is gorgeous out today I am going to go spend time with my dogs---have a great weekend!
