Growing Family

It was a busy weekend for me! Friday I attended an art gallery with some friends, Saturday I ran in a 5k, and Sunday I had to photograph a portrait session.

The 5k was a fantastic experience. It was something I always wanted to participate in and not only did I complete the race, but I got a third place medal for my age group. The last mile was all uphill and the meaning behind that was not lost on me. Sometimes life hands you obstacles and you just need to keep pushing forward and believe that you can reach the other side of that experience and look back on it as a defining moment.

Additionally, I had the opportunity to photograph a neighbor's newborn son. Sharing in their happiness was a great way to spend our Sunday morning. They even turned the tables on me and snapped a photgraph of me holding their son! I still have a lot of post production work to do on this session, so I do not have photographs to share yet.

I recently completed post production work on a previous portrait session. I had a fantastic time photographing this family and it was great to spend the morning with them capturing each moment they shared. Here are a few images from that session...

This session was a lot of fun and I think the photographs are beautiful! I can't wait to mail the prints! :)
