New Portrait Session

I recently had the opportunity to photograph a unique portrait session. One of my neighbors hired me to photograph her body art. The artwork is a manifestation of her indomitable spirit and her triumph over any obstacle that life will throw at her. She wanted to have portraits done to capture the art in a unique way.

This shoot is different from many of the sessions I have done and was a lot of fun! She was easy to work with, and made my job easy! Check out some of the photographs from her shoot, doesn't she look amazing?

In the photograph above, I wanted to contrast some of her before shots with the after shots we were taking in her portrait session.

Even though the body art was in color, I think the shading and contrast are enhanced in the black and white photographs. The detail is so striking!

Ok... this last one is of her cat. As some of you know, I love animals and have three dogs of my own, and even though her session was technically for her own portrait, her cat posed perfectly and I just had to snap a shot of him as well! She was so happy to have this print of him and I just love the expression on his face!

Like I said, this was a beautiful and easy portrait session. It was so much fun and I was excited for her to see the prints. When she got them she told me how much they meant to her and how much she loved them which made me so happy! The artist who did the work for her was very talented as well, the colors, shading, and detail are absolutely amazing!
